We have an open communication and feedback culture, where team members are encouraged to freely express their thoughts and ideas, which are respected and actively worked upon for improvement. Furthermore, our team fosters a culture based on respect and diversity, and we embrace the unique experiences and backgrounds that each team member brings.

What truly captivated me was the warm and welcoming office culture that fostered collaboration and support. The company's flexible hybrid working schedule also appealed to me, as it allowed for a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, the knowledge that support is available if I have children made me feel a sense of belonging.

Diversity and inclusion in our team.
We believe that embracing individuals from various cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives makes our workforce stronger. We make every effort to ensure that our team represents diverse perspectives and provides opportunities for everyone to excel.
Global Perspectives
A diverse workforce can contribute fresh perspectives and viewpoints, while also enhancing our understanding as a company of the needs of different user demographics across various regions. Our talent recruitment initiatives span the globe, encompassing China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States, attracting and bringing together employees with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
Female Leadership
We believe firmly that commitment to gender equality makes our company stronger and our workplace a more welcoming one. Today, women make up more than half of Trip.com Group employees, far exceeding the average for tech companies. Importantly, women hold 43% of mid-level management positions, while accounting for nearly one-third of management roles at the vice president level and above.
We’re committed to supporting mothers and families. Most recently, we launched a global maternity allowance policy, providing RMB1 billion in subsidies to employees with new children, regardless of gender. Moreover, we support pregnant employees with facilities and policies including travel subsidies and mother-and-baby rooms. And our hybrid working policy empowers families to enjoy an improved work-life balance.
Disability Inclusion
We’ve recruited colleagues with disabilities to join our team for more than two decades, employing 165 people with disabilities in China as of 2022, working as customer service specialists, cultural specialists, and ticketing specialists. We actively support these employees in their career development, helping them to tap into their potential and achieve their goals.

Building a workplace for everyone.
We value our people and help them to thrive, with programs and policies that offer flexibility to suit the individual, opportunities for personal development, and respect and openness to new perspectives.
Employees’ rights
We support and respect our employees’ labour union organisation and have set up a labour dispute mediation committee to sign collective agreements with all regular employees. We have provided collective contracts to the vast majority of our employees in Shanghai, which account for more than 40% of the total employees of the Trip.com Group and Trip.com brands.
Flexible Working
We are pioneers in hybrid working arrangements, with a hybrid work policy implemented in 2022, which gives employees the option of working remotely two days a week. The policy has been embraced by two-thirds of our global workforce and is especially popular both among employees with children, and for employees under the age of 25. The policy has saved employees over 300,000 hours in commuting time, and given them an extra 100 hours of sleep annually.
Trip.com Growth Academy
We are committed to talent cultivation and team building, helping employees to develop themselves professionally and cultivate their leadership skills. Our Trip Growth Academy platform provides more than 35,000 online and offline courses, led by leading professionals and academics. We offer training courses for employees at all stages of their career paths, with educational resources available in 32 countries and 155 cities, including 300+ courses in English for our overseas employees.
Open communication
Communication is essential for maintaining a company culture that encourages openness and ensuring our work environment is one where employees can truly thrive. Our communication channels include monthly HR open days, suggestion mailboxes, department meetings, and biennial Group-wide satisfaction surveys. We take employee feedback seriously and use it to continuously improve.
